Founded in 2010, Food For Thought fights child hunger across Walton and Okaloosa counties. Each weekend during the school year, the nonprofit sends backpacks of healthy, easy-to-prepare food home with thousands of students who depend on free or reduced school meals — bridging the gap when classroom meals aren't there. It's our favorite cause and the one we give to first. Every plate we serve is, in some small way, a thank you to them for what they do.

ECCAC works to heal and prevent the trauma of childhood abuse and neglect, providing advocacy, child-friendly therapies, and a safe environment for kids across Walton and Okaloosa counties. Services are provided at no cost to families.

Born from one family's loss, the Bailey Brigade ensures no local cancer patient begins treatment alone. Care backpacks, co-pay assistance, rides to treatment, and scholarships for students entering the medical field — small acts of comfort during the hardest stretch of someone's life.

Harlan's Place is building a 60-unit housing community in Santa Rosa Beach designed for adults with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities — a place to live with independence, dignity, and meaningful connection. Construction begins in 2026.

A volunteer-driven free clinic that has provided more than $4 million in care to over 18,000 patients since 2017. No fees, no insurance required — just primary care for anyone in our community who needs it.

Since 1994, Caring & Sharing has provided Walton County families with food, financial assistance for rent and utilities, and pathways out of crisis. The pantry serves nearly 700 children every month, and the thrift store keeps the mission running.

Building decent, affordable housing in partnership with Walton County families since 1996. Homeowners invest hundreds of hours of sweat equity alongside volunteers, and pay back what the home cost to build at zero percent interest.

Founded in Santa Rosa Beach in 2015, The Sonder Project has drilled 76 wells providing clean water to nearly 70,000 people across Burkina Faso and Malawi, and sponsors more than 200 students through school each year. Local roots, global reach.

MLB Hall of Famer Tom Glavine and his wife Chris host this annual golf outing benefiting The Seaside School Foundation — directly funding Seaside Neighborhood School, Seacoast Collegiate High School, and the new South Walton dual enrollment center. Five years in, the event has raised over half a million dollars for Walton County students.

When Okaloosa County's two community pools nearly closed for good in 2014, a handful of swimmers formed ECFF and saved them. Today the foundation runs the Taj Renee Aquatic Center in Destin and the Bernie R. Lefebvre Aquatic Center in Fort Walton Beach, teaching water safety to thousands of kids each year.

The Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park's conservation arm has rehabilitated and released hundreds of sea turtles back into the Gulf since 2015. Public education and active conservation, right here on the coast we work along.

The Emerald Coast's only fully professional symphony orchestra, founded in 2005. Beyond the concert hall, Sinfonia's music education programs have reached over 220,000 children in Okaloosa and Walton counties — often the only music education many of these kids ever receive.
